Data Quality & Privacy

Better Data. Sharper Decisions.

ESOMAR

In line with industry best practices and our commitment to transparency in research, we provide responses to the ESOMAR 37 questions—an internationally recognized set of standards designed to help buyers of market and social research understand how data is collected, processed, and protected. These questions offer a clear overview of our methodology, data sources, quality controls, and compliance with ethical guidelines. We invite you to review the answers below to better understand our approach and ensure confidence in our insights.

Survey data quality starts with the participant. Konovo’s deep profiling, rigorous recruitment and industry-leading quality measures make us the obvious choice.

Questionnaire and survey design plays a vital role in the engagement of physicians and patients during the survey experience. For this reason, high-quality survey data is a partnership between Konovo and our clients.

We differentiate between normal human behaviour, including momentary inattention and survey fatigue, versus consistent inattention and fraudulent activity.

Continuous improvement drives everything we do — especially when it comes to the quality of your insights. In a fast-moving landscape, we invest deeply in the people, processes, and technology to ensure your decisions are powered by data you can trust.

Responding Patterns

What Is Normal and Acceptable?

Engaged and Thorough

  • All answers are consistent
  • Open-end responses are expansive and detailed

Attentive but Fallible

  • High levels of attention but may have momentary lapses
  • Somewhat short but sensible OEs (potentially less OEs towards the end of a long survey)
  • Survey length is slightly less than average
  • Tripped up on confusing question(s)
  • Straight-lined on 1-2 questions that did not have opposing statements

Bad Actors

  • Speeds through survey in less than 1/2 the median survey time
  • Consistent straight-lining, specifically on questions with opposing statements
  • Multiple failed logic-checks and unlikely combinations compared to other respondents
  • Nonsensical OEs (either gibberish or not pertaining to the question)
  • Copy/pasted OE text
